Saving money is important.  So, why is it so hard for people to have that discipline?  I know from personal experience how hard it can be.  Sometimes coming up with little tips and tricks is a great way to get the ball rolling.  Learn how our guest blogger uses her green to save.

Quietly Pay

I remember the preacher saying, “I want a quiet collection this morning.” I leaned over and asked Mom what he meant, she told me he only wanted bills, no coins, in the collection plate.

I’m now using the principal of “quiet” to save money. I pay for items in bills and I save the change. If something costs $2.37, I give $3 and I put the change in jar. Once a month I wrap all of my coins and deposit them into a savings account.

And if I don’t have enough cash, then I don’t get it. I don’t even use my debit card. It has been a great way to save money.
