Many people are heading back to the books to help improve their resume. Does adding computer knowledge to your portfolio increase your hire-ability?

The More You Know

The job market is extra tough today and you need all the help you can get. The best way to get a leg up on the competition is getting familiar with a variety of programs that could be used in any office setting. Typically once you master the basic work processing programs you could move onto more in depth programs like Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or any variety of web design platforms. You would most certainly be a more viable candidate for any office position if you have more than a few programs under your belt that you are a wiz at. It would only help your chances of landing a position because you could be the person that steps up to the plate when a “higher up” needs some work done that only you could handle.
